Moisture following the application is necessary to activate the herbicide.<\/p>\n<p>RESIDUAL CONTROL<br \/>\n3 or more months, depending on time of year the application is made, media, soil temperature, and amount of irrigation and\/or rainfall. Fall applications of BroadStar to bareground or mulch have routinely displayed weed control for 8 months or more.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PRECAUTIONS AND RESTRICTIONS<\/strong><br \/>\nDO NOT apply by air.<br \/>\nDO NOT apply to moist or wet foliage.<br \/>\nDO NOT apply when winds are gusty or above 10 mph.<br \/>\nDO NOT apply to plants that are under moisture stress or stress from insects, diseases, animals, winter injury, planting shock, or any other stresses.<br \/>\nUse caution when applying to plants that are producing a new flush of growth because herbicide may injure tender, newly formed leaves if granules remain in contact with leaf surfaces.<br \/>\nDO NOT apply to plants grown from seed until at least one year after seed germination, unless tolerance is first confirmed on a small number of plants.<br \/>\nDO NOT apply to plants whose leaves channel the herbicide granules to the leaf base.<br \/>\nDO NOT apply to herbaceous bedding plants or areas where bedding plants will be planted or transplanted within 3 months following application.<br \/>\nDO NOT apply to plants while in propagation.<br \/>\nDO NOT apply to liners that are in pots less than 4 inches in diameter.<br \/>\nDO NOT apply to recently transplanted liners with root balls that are less than 4 inches in diameter until liners have been actively growing for at least 6 weeks after transplanting.<br \/>\nDO NOT apply to bearing fruit and nut trees such as citrus, apples, pears, peaches, etc. Fruit and nut trees are defined as plants that will bear fruit within 1 year of the application.<br \/>\nDO NOT incorporate product into soil or potting media.<br \/>\nDO NOT apply more than 150 lbs per acre in a single application or more than 300 lbs per acre in a single year.<br \/>\nDO NOT treat the same plants more than one time every 8 weeks or more than 2 times per year.<br \/>\nDO NOT apply in an enclosed greenhouse structure.<br \/>\nDO NOT graze or feed livestock forage cut from treated areas.<br \/>\nBroadStar may injure actively growing turfgrass, especially if wet at time of application. Therefore, DO NOT apply BroadStar directly to turfgrass and minimize drift of BroadStar onto turfgrass during application to ornamentals.
