Greenville plant grand opening to host Nufarm CEO Greg Hunt and Mississippi Governor Bryant<\/strong><\/p>\n [October 17, 2019] Greenville, Miss. \u2013 Nufarm Americas Inc. announced plans to host a Grand Opening Event at its Greenville, Mississippi, manufacturing facility on October 23, 2019. The event will welcome Nufarm channel partners and several Greenville, Washington County and Mississippi officials, including Commissioner of Agriculture Andy Gipson and Governor Phil Bryant.<\/p>\n Greenville was selected as the site of Nufarm\u2019s third US plant last November, which is a significant expansion of the company\u2019s North American footprint. The facility will support Nufarm\u2019s growing herbicide portfolio with state-of-the-art formulation and packaging operations.<\/p>\n \u201cThis is truly a plant for our customers,\u201d says Brad Hyman, vice president of crop protection sales. \u201cIt will give customers more choice and flexibility through reliable access to a high-quality, efficient supply of Nufarm products.\u201d<\/p>\n Nufarm\u2019s newest plant is a gain for US agriculture as well as the State of Mississippi and Community of Greenville. The 104,500 square foot facility started as a decommissioned industrial property on 16 acres and required substantial renovation to become a modern operation. Nufarm reclaimed infrastructure, recycled steel and ground and re-used concrete throughout the project.<\/p>\n \u201cThis $20 million investment with 68 manufacturing jobs is the first such announcement in Greenville in over a decade and adds to over $100 million in local, state and federal investments announced during this administration.
