[WALLACEBURG, ON]<\/strong> \u2013 Farmers know the importance of weed-free fields, and so does Nufarm. \u201cWe offer a broad portfolio of superior pre-emergent soybean herbicides that help farmers start clean and smoke out their weed competition early,\u201d says Zach Rogers, Marketing and Communications Manager for Nufarm. \u201cIn 2022, we wanted to tie into the theme of smoking out weeds with a contest, offering one lucky farmer a chance to win a Traeger Ironwood Series 885 pellet grill.\u201d<\/p>\n

The lucky winner of the \u2018Smoke Out The Weed Competition\u2019 contest was randomly chosen in May. Casey McGee of Heyland Farms near Wallaceburg, Ontario won this year\u2019s contest.<\/p>\n

Joe Thomas, Sales Manager for Eastern Canada, met Casey at his farm to deliver the Traeger after the busy planting season.<\/p>\n\"\"\n

\u201cThere was some shock when I heard I had won,\u201d said Casey. \u201cWe were in the middle of planting when I received the news that I\u2019d won so it was hard to take it all in. But, the shock of winning turned to excitement pretty quick. I started looking up recipes to try out this summer, so it was a healthy distraction in the middle of some long stressful days.\u201d<\/p>\n

When asked by Joe what his first meal was going to be with the Traeger, Casey said confidently that it would be a beef brisket.<\/p>\n
