It was even ranked as Ontario\u2019s worst weed in a University of Guelph poll.<sup>1<\/sup> This populous annual broadleaf has also begun to show increased herbicide resistance in Ontario with Group 2-, 5- and glyphosate-resistant biotypes confirmed in 2012. A single plant of common ragweed can produce up to 62,000 seeds. These seeds can also survive for a couple years in the soil before deciding to germinate.
