Calgary, AB<\/strong> – European Union has established Maximum Residue Limits for Quash\u00ae<\/sup>  Fungicide, containing metconazole, on blueberries, potatoes, and other crops.<\/p>\n

Lowbush blueberry growers in eastern Canada who export to the European Union (EU) can now use Quash Fungicide, containing metconazole, to control key diseases with the recent establishment of Maximum Residue Limits (MRLs) for metconazole.<\/p>\n

Quash (metconazole) is a Group 3 fungicide, developed and registered by Valent Canada, Inc, that delivers preventative and curative control of mummyberry and anthracnose, and suppression of phomopsis in highbush and lowbush blueberries. Quash moves into foliage with locally systemic and translaminar activity providing preventative and curative control.<\/p>\n

“Quash offers growers an economical option for controlling the most devastating diseases affecting Canadian blueberries,” says Sabrina Bladon, Easter Marketing Manager for Nufarm Agriculture Inc. “The EU MRLs offer lowbush blueberry growers an additional approved tool for their resistance management fungicide program.”<\/p>\n
